Silverbank Caravan Park lies on the edge of Banchory, the Royal Deeside town around seventeen miles west of Aberdeen, on the banks of the River Dee. It is a little further out than the closest sites to the city, but the setting among woodland and riverside walks, with the whole of Deeside opening up to the west, more than makes up the extra distance for anyone planning to explore beyond Aberdeen itself.
The park takes tents, touring caravans and motorhomes on grass and hardstanding pitches, many with electric hook-up, and is within walking distance of Banchory's shops, cafes and the popular Bridge of Feugh salmon leap. Crathes Castle and its walled garden are a short drive away, as are Drum Castle and the road on towards Ballater and Balmoral, making Silverbank a sensible base for a Deeside-focused stay with Aberdeen kept as a day trip rather than the main event.
