West Fife Pods

Fife

Two farm-set glamping pods near Culross, around ten miles from Aberdour

About West Fife Pods

West Fife Pods occupies a working farm at Muirhead Farm near Culross, one of Scotland's best-preserved 17th-century conservation villages, around ten miles west of Aberdour on the Fife side of the Forth. The site is a small, purely glamping operation rather than a traditional campsite, aimed at visitors who want a countryside stay without bringing a tent or caravan, and its farm setting and dog-friendly welcome have built a strong following among couples and families touring west Fife.

The site has two fully equipped glamping pods, Ben Cleuch and Ben Buck, each sleeping up to four people across a double bed and sofa bed. Both pods have a fully equipped kitchen, a shower room, underfloor heating, a television and mobile Wi-Fi for those needing to stay connected, along with a private fire pit, outdoor seating and a barbecue area looking over the surrounding fields. Fresh farm eggs and welcome treats including juice, milk and chocolate are provided on arrival, and dogs are welcome, with treats supplied for four-legged guests too.

The farm sits directly on the West Fife Woodlands Way, a ten-mile marked walking and cycling route, and is around fifteen minutes' drive from Dunfermline and Stirling, making it a good base for exploring both Aberdour and the wider Forth valley. Culross itself, with its cobbled streets, restored merchant houses and abbey ruins, is a short walk from the farm and one of the most atmospheric villages in this part of Scotland.
