About Aber Bay Holiday Park
Aber Bay Holiday Park, previously known locally as Glan-y-Mor, sits directly on the sand at Clarach Bay, a sheltered cove about two miles north of Aberystwyth reached by a short, steep coast road. It is the largest and most facility-rich of the sites around the town, running as a full holiday park rather than a simple touring stop, with a season that runs from March through to mid-January.
Pitches for touring caravans and camping sit alongside static caravans and holiday lodges for anyone who prefers not to bring their own accommodation, and the park's indoor leisure centre is the main draw for families, with a heated swimming pool, spa, sauna and fitness suite backed up by an outdoor pool and play area in the warmer months. An on-site shop and a club running evening entertainment and cabaret through the season add to the resort feel, a contrast to the quieter touring parks further inland.
Direct beach access from the park means the cove itself, rather than the pool, is often the main attraction on a good day, and the short drive back into Aberystwyth keeps the castle, harbour and promenade within easy reach for anyone wanting a change of scene.
