About Midfield Holiday & Residential Park
Midfield sits on a hilltop just off the A4120, about a mile and a half south-east of Aberystwyth, with views running out over Cardigan Bay and the surrounding countryside. It is a genuinely small, family-run site rather than a large commercial park, with seventy-five pitches for tents, touring caravans and motorhomes spread across level and gently sloping ground.
Of those pitches, sixty have electric hook-up, and the park has recently added a new facilities block alongside free Wi-Fi across the site, a useful upgrade for a park that has otherwise kept its low-key, no-frills character. Village shops and a small out-of-town shopping precinct are both within a few hundred metres, so a short walk covers most day-to-day essentials without needing a car.
The park's position also puts it close to the Ceredigion Coastal Path and the Ystwyth cycle route, as well as local forestry trails, making it a workable base for a walking or cycling break as well as a straightforward seaside stay, with the whole of Aberystwyth's promenade, castle and harbour under two miles away.
