Run by the Caravan and Motorhome Club, the site is popular with visitors who want a genuinely central base without the noise or congestion of staying right in the middle of town, and the surrounding parkland gives a pleasant, leafy setting for an otherwise urban location.
The site offers around ninety hardstanding pitches for caravans and motorhomes, all with electric hook-up, though tents are not accepted here. A single toilet block houses showers, washbasins and dishwashing facilities along with a parent and baby room, and there is a motorhome service point and chemical disposal point for touring visitors. A children's play area and a dog walk sit alongside the pitches, and Wi-Fi is available on site for a charge.
Beyond the site boundary, Craigie Estate's parkland offers immediate walking routes, and the River Ayr Way footpath can be picked up nearby for longer walks along the river.
