Heads of Ayr Holiday Park
South Ayrshire
A family-run coastal park ten minutes from Ayr with beach access and touring pitches
About Heads of Ayr Holiday Park
Heads of Ayr Holiday Park occupies a coastal site around ten minutes' drive south of Ayr, on the stretch of Ayrshire coastline looking out toward Arran. Family-owned for decades, the park has grown to include static caravans for hire alongside a substantial touring and camping area, and its position close to the shore makes it a popular choice for families wanting a beach-based holiday with easy access to Ayr and the wider Ayrshire coast.
Touring facilities include both fully serviced hardstanding pitches, with fresh water, electricity and grey waste disposal at the pitch, and grass pitches with electric hook-up for tents and smaller units. On-site facilities run to modern shower blocks with underfloor heating and baby changing, a laundry room, a well-stocked shop and a children's play area, along with Wi-Fi across the park. Open fires are not permitted, though the park otherwise welcomes a wide range of camping and touring set-ups.
Dogs are welcome on touring pitches, up to two per pitch, making this one of the more dog-friendly options on this stretch of coast. The park's coastal position gives quick access to the beach and to Culzean Castle and Country Park a short drive further south, while Ayr itself, with its shops, restaurants and railway station, is close enough for an easy day visit without needing to relocate.
