Greenhills Holiday Park sits on Crowhill Lane on the edge of Bakewell, close enough to the town centre to walk in for the Monday market or an evening meal, yet set within 33 acres of the lower Wye Valley that give every pitch a genuine sense of countryside. The park has grown over the years into one of the larger touring sites in this part of the Peak District, with hardstanding pitches for caravans and motorhomes alongside separate grass fields kept for tents, all sheltered by mixed woodland along the boundary.
All touring and camping pitches come with a 16-amp electric hook-up as standard, and the park's licensed clubhouse, The Stable Bar, gives campers somewhere to eat and drink on site without needing to drive into town of an evening. A playground keeps younger children entertained, and the surrounding lanes and footpaths are well used by dog walkers, with the park itself welcoming dogs across its touring and camping pitches.
The park's position just outside Bakewell makes it a practical base for exploring the whole central Peak District: Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are both a short drive away, the Monsal Trail is easily reached, and the town's shops, pubs and bakeries are close enough that a car is optional once you have pitched up.
