Aboyne Loch Caravan Park lies half a mile from Aboyne village on Royal Deeside, around ten miles east of Ballater along the A93, in a mature setting beside the loch that gives the park its name. It is one of the longer-established touring parks on Deeside, with a season running from April to October.
The park is geared mainly towards touring caravans and motorhomes, with hardstanding pitches and electric hook-ups, alongside a number of privately owned static caravans. A small collection of self-catering lodges, known locally as Golf View, sits within the same grounds for visitors who want a fixed base without bringing their own unit. Coarse fishing permits for the loch are available directly from the park office, and the surrounding area offers golf, swimming and easy access to Aboyne's shops and the wider Dinnet nature reserve.
Dogs are welcome on leads, and the park's position beside the loch and within walking distance of Aboyne village makes it a practical, unfussy option for anyone touring Deeside by caravan or motorhome rather than pitching a tent. Its ten-mile distance from Ballater keeps Balmoral, Lochnagar and the village itself within easy day-trip range.
