Firbank Park
Aberdeenshire
Small, adults-only Certificated Site by the Dee at Dinnet, near Ballater
About Firbank Park
Firbank Park is a small, adults-only touring site at Dinnet, on Royal Deeside around six miles east of Ballater, set across four acres of mature woodland close to the River Dee. It operates as a Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Site, meaning it is limited to a handful of pitches and reserved for members of the club, which keeps it notably quiet compared with a full commercial park.
Each of the generously spaced hardstanding pitches has its own electric hook-up and fresh water point, and the site's small scale and mature tree cover give it a secluded, private feel rarely found on larger touring parks. Alongside conventional caravan and motorhome pitches, a small number of shepherd's huts are available for visitors who want a fixed roof without towing their own accommodation. The site was named Certificated Location of the Year for Scotland and Northern Ireland in 2024, reflecting its setting and upkeep.
Dogs are welcome on leads, and the site's position just outside Dinnet puts Ballater, Aboyne and the Muir of Dinnet nature reserve all within a short drive. Booking is by direct arrangement with the site rather than through a general reservation platform, so contacting the site ahead of a visit is recommended.
