Ty Anne occupies a townhouse dating to around 1791 on West End, at the edge of Beaumaris seafront, and offers just two suites, each pairing a double bedroom with its own sitting room and en-suite bathroom. Both look directly across the Menai Strait to the mountains of Snowdonia, a view few larger hotels in town can better from their standard rooms.

As an adult-only guest house it draws a particular kind of guest: couples and solo travellers looking for a quiet, personally run stay rather than a family hotel. Breakfast is taken seriously here, served as a five-course meal in a dining room that shares the same panoramic outlook as the suites, and rooms come with flat-screen TVs, streaming channels and tea and coffee facilities.

Its West End position keeps the castle, pier and Castle Street shops within easy walking distance, while the seafront setting gives it a more restful edge than hotels set back in the town centre.
