Rynys Farm Camping Site

Conwy

Family-run farm campsite two miles from the village with mountain views

About Rynys Farm Camping Site

Rynys Farm is a small, family-run campsite set on a working farm about two miles from Betws-y-Coed, reached along a quiet lane climbing above the Conwy valley. The pitches are spread across a series of gently sloping fields with open views towards the surrounding Snowdonia hills, and the site has deliberately kept its facilities simple rather than expanding into a large holiday park.

The toilet block is a converted stone farm building with hot showers on a coin meter, washing-up sinks and a small shared kitchen with a microwave, toaster, fridge and freezer for tent campers without their own cooking set-up. A handful of static holiday caravans and a couple of shepherd's huts are also available for those without their own kit, and electric hook-up can be arranged for an additional charge. The site's rules keep things peaceful: no music, raised fire pits only, and quiet hours enforced from 11pm.

It suits couples and families looking for a straightforward, no-frills base for walking in Gwydir Forest or driving into the mountains, rather than campers wanting a swimming pool or entertainment programme. Dogs are welcome on leads for a small additional fee, and the farm setting means fresh eggs are sometimes available from the owners. Booking ahead is strongly advised for summer weekends, as the site is popular with regulars who return year after year.
