Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park

Somerset

Adults-only touring park near Chew Valley Lake, ten miles from Bristol

About Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park

Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park sits near Bishop Sutton, around ten miles south of Bristol and close to Chew Valley Lake, one of the South West's largest reservoirs and a well-known spot for birdwatching, fly fishing and gentle walking. The park is an adults-only site, which keeps it calm and settled, and it has built a reputation locally for keeping its facilities to a high standard year after year.

Pitches are arranged among established lawns, shrubs and flower beds, giving the touring and caravan pitches a more landscaped feel than many rural sites, and all come with 16-amp electric hook-up, with a number of fully serviced pitches also offering a TV point and fresh and waste water connections. The heated shower and toilet block is kept to a hotel-like standard, complete with hairdryers and a disabled suite, and there is a laundry with service washes, a lending library and a small Tourist Information point for planning trips into Bristol, Bath or the Mendips.

Dogs are welcome at no extra charge, with a dedicated dog walking area through a patch of woodland on site, making it a comfortable base for couples touring with pets. The park does not take tents, being set up for touring caravans and motorhomes, and there is no on-site shop, but the village of Bishop Sutton and the shores of Chew Valley Lake are both within easy reach for a short drive or walk, and Bristol's city centre is around a 25-minute drive north.
