Dormy House sits at the highest point of the Farncombe Estate, a working 500-acre estate above the village of Broadway, and the views across the Cotswold escarpment and the Vale of Evesham are part of the appeal before you even reach the front door. The hotel occupies a former farmhouse and its outbuildings, converted and extended over the years into a country house hotel that keeps a genuinely relaxed, unstuffy tone rather than the more formal register of some Cotswold hotels.

Rooms range from traditional doubles to hot tub suites and the separate Rose Cottage, and the House Spa, rated five bubbles in the Good Spa Guide, combines an indoor-outdoor pool, a terrace hot tub and a Scandinavian-style thermal suite. Dining is spread across several distinct spaces: MO offers an interactive tasting menu for a maximum of twelve guests, The Back Garden focuses on seasonal and garden-grown produce, and The Shed serves more casual food and cocktails.
