Russell's of Broadway occupies the former showroom of the celebrated furniture designer Sir Gordon Russell, whose work transformed Broadway's fortunes in the early twentieth century, and the building's design heritage is still visible in its clean lines and airy, gallery-like dining room. The restaurant downstairs is the main draw for many visitors, a steak and seafood grill run by head chef Darius Hulpe with an emphasis on flame-grilled Cotswold steaks, Welsh lamb and fresh fish alongside an extensive wine list.

Upstairs, eight boutique bedrooms are furnished in a contemporary style that suits the building's design pedigree, giving Russell's the feel of a restaurant with rooms rather than a conventional hotel; it's a good fit for visitors who want a comfortable base built around an excellent dinner rather than extensive hotel facilities.
