Fforest Fields Caravan and Camping Park
Powys
Secluded family-run touring and camping site a few miles from Builth Wells
About Fforest Fields Caravan and Camping Park
Fforest Fields is a family-run touring, camping and glamping site set within a working 500-acre farm a few miles outside Builth Wells, in the quiet countryside of what was historically Radnorshire. The touring and camping area is spacious and well spread out, giving pitches a real sense of privacy rather than the packed-in feel of larger commercial sites, and the surrounding fields and woodland make it a popular choice for families and for anyone bringing dogs.
As well as traditional grass pitches for tents, campervans and touring caravans, the site offers a small selection of glamping options including yurts and a stone cottage, giving a bit of flexibility for anyone travelling in a mixed group of campers and non-campers. On-site facilities include modern shower and toilet blocks, electric hook-up on touring pitches, and a farm shop selling essentials and local produce, so a night or two here does not require a long drive back into Builth Wells for supplies.
The site's rural setting makes it a good base for walking directly from the farm, for stargazing away from light pollution, and for day trips into Builth Wells, Llandrindod Wells and the wider Cambrian Mountains. Dogs are welcome throughout much of the site, and its farm setting appeals particularly to families wanting space for children to roam safely and to campers looking for a genuinely rural, low-key stay rather than a resort-style holiday park.
