The Greyhound Hotel is a family-run hotel on Garth Road, close to the centre of Builth Wells, and something of a focal point for the local community as well as visitors passing through. The nine bedrooms are simply furnished with modern comforts including flat-screen televisions, and the hotel has a private garden and free parking.

The restaurant has built a strong local following for its menu of Welsh produce, including Celtic Pride Welsh steaks and a good range of fish and vegetarian dishes, while the bar stocks an extensive selection of ales from Welsh breweries and further afield. The hotel hosts a well-attended beer, ale and music festival each September.

Its central but quiet location makes it an easy base for exploring Builth Wells on foot, with the market, shops and river all within a short walk, and the Royal Welsh Showground and Elan Valley both a short drive away.
