About Roseberry Tourist Park
Roseberry occupies ten acres of level ground at Willingham, north-west of Cambridge, on what was once a commercial pear orchard. Some of the old trees remain along the boundaries, and the park has been laid out with generous spacing across 90 pitches - a mixture of hardstandings, grass pitches and dedicated tent pitches. Mark and Jackie run the site with resident wardens, and there is a secure barrier entrance, which makes it a comfortable choice for anyone leaving a van while they spend a day in the city.
Every pitch has a smart-metered electric hook-up, with many also serviced with water. Facilities include heated toilet and shower blocks, a laundry room, pot wash, chemical waste disposal, gas sales, cardboard recycling and wireless internet across the site. There is a dog exercise area and a tourist information hut, plus caravan and motorhome storage if you want to leave an outfit between trips. An adults-only section for over-18s is kept separate from the main family area, so both groups get the atmosphere they came for.
The park is open all year, which is unusual in this part of the country and useful if you want Cambridge in the quiet months. Willingham is a proper working village with shops and pubs, the guided busway park and ride at Longstanton is a short drive away and runs into the centre of Cambridge without touching the traffic, and St Ives, Ely and the RSPB reserve at Fen Drayton Lakes are all close. Booking is advisable at any time of year, and bank holiday rates are a few pounds higher. Pitch fees are quoted separately from metered electricity.
