Croft Farm Waterpark
Gloucestershire
A lakeside touring and camping park near Tewkesbury, around ten miles from Cheltenham
About Croft Farm Waterpark
Croft Farm Waterpark sits beside the River Avon on the edge of Tewkesbury, built around a former gravel-pit lake now used for watersports, fishing and paddleboarding. It is the most family-oriented of the sites near Cheltenham, with grass pitches for tents alongside hardstanding for caravans and motorhomes, and a playground and shop on site.
The lake is the main draw: visitors can swim, paddleboard, kayak or fish depending on the season, and the flat, low-lying ground around Tewkesbury makes for easy cycling into the historic town, with its abbey and riverside pubs, in around twenty minutes. Electric hook-ups and modern shower blocks are available across the touring pitches, and the park also offers a small number of glamping options for those without their own kit.
Tewkesbury's position at the meeting of the Severn and Avon means the surrounding ground can flood after heavy winter rain, so the practical camping season runs from spring to early autumn. Dogs are welcome on most pitches, and the combination of watersports and easy access to both Tewkesbury and Cheltenham, a short drive down the A38, makes this a good all-round choice for families touring the area.
