Riverside Caravan and Camping Park

Powys

A riverside touring park on the banks of the Usk in Crickhowell itself

About Riverside Caravan and Camping Park

Riverside Caravan and Camping Park sits on the edge of Crickhowell, with pitches running down towards the banks of the River Usk and views up to Table Mountain behind the town. It is one of the few sites that puts you within easy walking distance of the high street, making it a practical choice for visitors who want to explore the shops, pubs and castle ruin on foot and return to a quiet riverside pitch each evening.

The park takes touring caravans, motorhomes and tents, with a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches and electric hook-ups available across most of the site. Facilities include modern shower and toilet blocks, and the riverside setting is popular with anglers, with day permits available for stretches of the Usk running through the site. The flat, level ground and proximity to town make it an easy option for first-time campers or families travelling with young children.

Beyond fishing, the site's location gives quick access to the Table Mountain footpath directly from town and to the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal towpath a short drive or cycle away, useful for gentler walking and cycling than the steeper Black Mountains routes further afield. Dogs are welcome on leads, and the site operates primarily during the main camping season from spring through early autumn, with earlier booking advisable for July and August.
