This Camping and Caravanning Club site sits on the edge of Stoke Fleming, around three miles from Dartmouth and within easy walking distance of Blackpool Sands beach. Previously known locally as Deer Park, the site occupies open, gently sloping grassland with views out towards the coast, and takes tents, caravans, motorhomes and campervans on both grass and hardstanding pitches. It is open from spring through to autumn and has a settled, unfussy character that suits couples and families looking for a straightforward touring base rather than an entertainment-led holiday park.
A single well-kept toilet block provides showers, washbasins and accessible facilities, along with a laundry and dishwashing area and a family shower room for those travelling with young children. Grass pitches with 16-amp electric hook-ups are available alongside pitches without power, and there is a small on-site shop for basics, a motorhome service point and free Wi-Fi across the site. Dogs are welcome on leads, though there is no dedicated dog-walking area within the site itself, with the surrounding lanes and coast path providing plenty of walking options nearby.
Stoke Fleming village, a short walk away, has a shop, a couple of pubs and a parish church worth a look, while Blackpool Sands and its café are close enough to reach on foot for an early morning swim. Dartmouth itself is a short drive or a longer coastal walk away, making this a useful, no-frills base for a beach-and-harbour holiday in the South Hams.
