Leonards Cove Holiday Park
Devon
Small, sheltered park near Blackpool Sands, a twenty-minute walk from Dartmouth's outskirts
About Leonards Cove Holiday Park
Leonards Cove is a small, family-run holiday park set back from the coast between Dartmouth and Blackpool Sands, with a mix of touring pitches, lodges and holiday homes on a single sheltered site. Camping is limited to a dedicated grass field for tents and small touring units, kept separate from the vehicle areas and holiday accommodation, which gives the pitches a quieter, more settled feel than many larger parks in the area. The site is open from early April to early November and sits within easy reach of both Dartmouth's harbour and the beach at Blackpool Sands, each around a twenty-minute walk away.
On-site facilities include well-kept shower and toilet blocks, electric hook-ups for touring pitches and roof-tent style camping, and a well-stocked shop and restaurant that includes an Italian kitchen serving handmade pizzas alongside more traditional dishes. Vehicles are kept off the camping field itself, which along with the site's small scale gives it a calmer atmosphere than the larger touring parks nearby, though this does mean a short walk from parking to pitch. Dogs are not permitted on site, which suits visitors looking for a dog-free camping stretch close to the beach.
The surrounding South Hams countryside offers gentle walking country down to the coast path, and the park's proximity to both Dartmouth and Blackpool Sands makes it a convenient, low-key base for a beach-focused break without the need for a car once pitched up.
