River Dart Country Park

Gorgeous place, especially the river dart running alongside it, even went swimming in some of the deeper parts 😁 we took our motorhome, unfortunately everything is now automated so know one to greet you or confirm location or porch which is a shame as definitely not obvious in anyway, toilets are ok but need some updating! Shop is great as it's effectively open from early in the morning though till the evening, the food is ok but a tad expensive but then everything these days seems to be more expensive than it should be 🥲 all I'm all we had a good couple nights stay, exploring the various activities, kids play and go ape..

We visited the Picnic in the Park event in May for the 50th anniversary. It was a great family day out. Lots of offer, loads of fun for the whole family, even the dog. There was a selection of different food vendors if you hadn't brought your own, which looked nice. We are looking forward to coming next year after this year's first visit and looking to book a camping trip in the summer. Definitely a must visit for a family day out

I've just enjoyed my third stay at River Dart Country Park with my six year old daughter. Staying in Holne Park House is the perfect holiday for us because it gives us a firm base from which to try out the many different activities on offer. This was the first time we came up without a car but they're was plenty to do onsite. My energy levels ran out long before activities had a chance to become repetitive. The staff are always incredibly helpful, accommodating our various obscure questions such as "Please can you send us a photo of the windows?" One chap in the office has a particularly breezy manner that put me at ease. The team on the Dare Devil activities were very good with my daughter, including Tom, Owen and Callum. Housekeeping were very friendly when I accidentally flooded our bathroom. The quantity of adventure play areas is particularly pleasing. You can book onto things like climbing and kayaking, but even when you're not, there are plenty of outdoor pursuits to get stuck into, such as pretending to be a pirate on the Jolly Dart or giving your mum a heart attack on the zip wire. If I had one small complaint, it's that it can be difficult to eat a varied menu at the Sawmill if you're vegetarian and go there for all your meals, but I imagine most people come by car and so they bring a few picnic supplies as well as having some meals in the many wonderful restaurants nearby. All in all, a fantastic place to holiday. We're already planning our next trip and hoping to bring friends.

Top notch outdoor adventure playground & splash pools in the base of the Dart Valley! There is shade and water, with plenty to keep the kids busy - zip line, slides, climbing frames, more slides, assault courses, giant rope netting spider web, and more...all in the woods of the wonderful Dart Valley! Plus the staff are superb 👌🏽😎✨️🫶🏽
