This campsite is a great adults only campsite . It’s heaps of fun with the pool and bar area. We had a blast as a group of friends wanting to let loose for a weekend. If you want a quiet chilled camping experience don’t come here , but if you want festival vibes you’ll have a blast!

This is such a beautiful campsite, unfortunately the trip was ruined by the owners behaviour and the hostile environment he has created. The owner has an odd and very publicly on display collection of 1940s German/fascist memorabilia. Not someone I would want to call a friend or can easily overlook. This intrusive and uncomfortable behaviour extended to the staff, who entered our private tents without permission simply to ask us to visit the bar. Furthermore, a member of our group was banned and forced to leave a night early following a political disagreement with the owner. Overall, a really uncomfortable camping experience, I will never be returning and would advise any visitors of the area to steer clear.

Amazing campsite with everything you will need while camping. Great pub, swimming pool, showers and incredible pizza on site! Highly recommend as it is so worth the £18 per person!!

We only stayed for one night but wished we’d booked longer. We were on the orchard field, and it was lovely to be surrounded by apple trees. You can pitch wherever you like with almost no restrictions, which makes the site feel creative and relaxed. Dogs being able to roam free within the pitch was also a nice bonus, as some campsites can be very strict about this. Facilities were fine for what they are: toilets were portaloos but just a 2-minute walk from proper toilets and showers. The showers cost £1 for 5 minutes, which feels a bit steep — at least 10 minutes would be fair. Five minutes goes very quickly, and being told to bring £2 to avoid the “soapy walk of shame” comes across as a little cheeky. The Parlour has good food, but definitely book in advance. Otherwise you end up waiting just to place your order and then waiting again for the food. That aside, the bar was nice, the site itself was beautiful, and overall it was a lovely place to stay. We’ll definitely be coming back.
