Overall a good visit. The location was great, with awesome views. The Sloping pitches were tricky especially when getting children to sleep. (Lots of rolling around) Showers were great though. The access to a fire pit was also fab. Be mindful of the water situation. Although signed we weren’t sure if it was drinking water for a while. (We had to ask other campers)

The Army Truck was absolutely stunning, in a magnificent location with the Dorset hills and English Channel in clear view from the windows of the truck with panoramic views. From the moment I arrived, I parked up (just outside the truck), unloaded my things and within 20 minutes Mew came and checked everything was okay, and showed me the cool box, rubbish area and wished me a good stay within his campsite. While on site, Mew was doing some building work for high season, and while this was a little noisy at times, I understood the situation fully and the finished product of a new shower block is going to be amazing. The toilets on site are all eco friendly and while it gets some getting used too, they are easy to use. I preferred to walk across the campsite to the higher toilets as the one behind the truck wasn't to my liking, but this didn't affect the trip. As a solo traveller, this experience was amazing and I loved every second of it! 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Basic. Sloping. Run down. Absent owner. Booked for one night and arranged to leave van for 5 days and return again for a final night. Couldn't contact owner to arrange safe parking and gave up. Other campers hadn't seen owner for days. Had to find somewhere else. Doubt I'll see my £50 back.

Gorgeous campsite with an owner who goes the extra mile! We had a lovely stay over Easter weekend and were really impressed by the touches that had gone into making the place feel special. Beautiful views in a lovely environment (complete with own orchard). We arrived on Saturday and enjoyed pizza night from the pizza oven, then had coffee in the morning from the coffee shack. The shower block is really cute with nice touches like the Belfast sinks. There are lovely long communal benches for sitting on, on we enjoyed playing with the new Puppy Will and his mum. We also really appreciated the thought that had gone into making the campsite sustainable, like the clever recycling caddy system, composts loos (need instructions though please!) and home grown vegetables. So refreshing compared to so many sites who offer no recycling at all. Can’t wait to go back.
