About Cot House Caravan Park
Cot House Caravan Park sits on the Sandbank road at Kilmun, on the shore of the Holy Loch a few miles north of Dunoon, and has operated as a family-run touring site for holidaymakers on the Cowal Peninsula for many years. It takes tents, touring caravans, motorhomes and small campervans across a mix of hardstanding and grass pitches, and runs an all-year, 52-week season rather than closing over winter.
The setting is quiet and rural, close to the villages around the former Holy Loch submarine base, with Kilmun's arboretum and church a short walk away and Dunoon itself only a ten-minute drive south. Electric hookups are available on the touring pitches, along with modern toilet and shower blocks, and the park's small size keeps it relatively peaceful even at busier times of year.
Dogs are welcome across the site, in keeping with its appeal to walkers and families returning year after year, and its position on the Cowal Peninsula makes it a workable base for day trips to Benmore Botanic Garden, Puck's Glen and the wider Argyll Forest Park, as well as for the ferry crossing into Dunoon for shops, restaurants and the museum.
