Strawberry Hill Farm Camping and Caravan Park
County Durham
Family-run holiday park south of Durham with a tea room and holiday caravans
About Strawberry Hill Farm Camping and Caravan Park
Strawberry Hill Farm is a family-run holiday park at Running Waters, a few miles south of Durham city centre, set among farmland with views out over the surrounding countryside. It takes touring caravans, motorhomes and tents alongside a number of static holiday caravans available to hire, giving it a broader mix of visitors than a purely touring site.
The park's tea room serves homemade cakes and light meals through the day, and doubles as a useful meeting point for visitors without their own transport into Durham. Facilities include hook-ups for touring pitches, modern shower and toilet blocks, and grounds kept in good order year-round, which have helped it build a strong reputation among regular visitors to the area.
Durham city is roughly five miles north, a short drive along the A177 and A1(M) corridor, making Strawberry Hill Farm a practical base for exploring both the cathedral city and the countryside of east Durham, including the coast at Seaham and Hartlepool within easy reach by car. Dogs are welcome throughout the touring areas, and the site's mix of pitch types and static caravans makes it suited to families as well as couples.
