About Babington House
Babington House is the rural outpost of the Soho House group, occupying a Grade II listed Georgian manor a few miles outside Frome, set within eighteen acres of parkland, walled garden and working farm. Bedrooms are spread across the main house, a converted coach house, stable block and separate cabins, each decorated in an understated country style rather than conventional hotel furnishing.
The Soho Health Club includes an indoor and outdoor pool, gym, spa treatment rooms and a Pilates studio, alongside newer contrast-therapy cabins in the grounds. Food is served across several settings on site, from the main restaurant to a more casual walled garden cafe, built around seasonal produce from the surrounding Somerset countryside.
Although operated as a private members' house, day guests and hotel bookings are accommodated, and the property remains one of the best-known country retreats within easy reach of Bath, Longleat and Frome itself, making it a popular choice for a weekend away built around the spa and grounds rather than the town.
