Culver House
Port Eynon, south Gower · Self-catering
Contemporary self-catering suites a minute from the Blue Flag beach at Port Eynon, several with sea views and dog-friendly options.
About Culver House
Culver House occupies a prime spot in Port Eynon, roughly sixty seconds' walk from one of the cleanest and safest beaches on the Gower coast. Rather than conventional hotel bedrooms it offers a set of self-contained suites, each with its own kitchen, which makes it a strong choice for anyone staying more than a couple of nights or travelling with children who eat at unhelpful hours.
The suites have been finished to a modern standard, with several enjoying direct views over the bay, and a number of them accept dogs. Having a kitchen does not mean you have to use it: Port Eynon has pubs, a fish and chip shop and cafes within a few minutes' walk, and the village is close enough to the Michelin-starred Beach House at Oxwich for a special dinner.
Port Eynon works well as a base for the western half of the peninsula. The coast path west leads past the Salt House ruins and Culver Hole towards Paviland Cave and Mewslade, while Rhossili is fifteen minutes by car. The Blue Flag beach is lifeguarded in season and there is a large car park behind the dunes, though guests will be glad of parking on site in July and August.
