Tides Reach sits on the seafront at Mumbles, looking across Swansea Bay from the promenade that runs the whole way round to the city. It has six individually designed rooms, each named after a Gower beach — Three Cliffs Bay, Port Eynon, Caswell Bay, Fall Bay, Rhossili Bay and Oxwich Bay — and the standard is well above what the guest house label usually implies.

Breakfast is freshly cooked and included, there is free WiFi throughout and, unusually for Mumbles, free parking. The owners also run a separate two-bedroom self-catering property, Oyster Cottage, for groups of up to five. The house took Best B&B, Inn and Guest House at the Swansea Bay Tourism Awards in 2024 and holds consistently high guest ratings across the review sites.

Mumbles is the eastern gateway to Gower and the best base if you want restaurants and shops on the doorstep. The pier, Oystermouth Castle, Joe's Ice Cream and Verdi's are all within walking distance, the Cycle Path along the bay starts outside, and Langland and Caswell beaches are a ten-minute drive. Three Cliffs is around twenty-five minutes, Rhossili around fifty.
