About Shearbarn Holiday Park
Shearbarn sits on the clifftop immediately east of Hastings Old Town, on the edge of Hastings Country Park, and has been run as a family holiday park for several decades. Its position is the main draw: pitches and static holiday homes look out over the Channel, and the Country Park's cliff and glen walking trails start directly from the site, with the Old Town itself within easy walking or a short drive.
The park takes touring caravans, motorhomes and tents alongside a large number of privately owned and hire static caravans, giving it a broader mix of visitors than a pure touring site. On-site facilities run to a shop, laundry, and toilet and shower blocks, with an outdoor pool open through the summer season and a play area for younger children, making it a workable base for a family week rather than just an overnight stop.
Dogs are welcome on most touring pitches, and the site's clifftop position makes it a popular choice for walkers using the Country Park's routes towards Fairlight Glen. Its proximity to Hastings Old Town, a ten to fifteen minute walk or a few minutes' drive, makes Shearbarn one of the few sites in the area that works equally well for a beach-and-town holiday or a walking-focused stay.
