Lucksall Caravan and Camping Park

Herefordshire

Riverside touring park on the Wye at Mordiford, five miles from Hereford

About Lucksall Caravan and Camping Park

Lucksall sits directly on the banks of the River Wye at Mordiford, a few miles southeast of Hereford, with several pitches looking straight out over the water and a private slipway used by canoeists and small boats. The park is well established and geared towards touring caravans, motorhomes and tents, with a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches spread across riverside meadows framed by mature trees.

Facilities are aimed at longer stays rather than a bare-bones stopover, with a well-stocked shop, a games room and a play area for children, alongside modern shower and toilet blocks. The site's position on the Wye makes it popular with canoeists and paddleboarders, who can launch directly from the park, while walkers can pick up footpaths along the riverbank towards Fownhope and the wooded slopes of Haugh Wood nearby.

Hereford's cathedral and city centre are a short drive away, making Lucksall a workable base for day trips into the city as well as the surrounding Wye Valley villages. The park operates seasonally from spring through to early autumn and tends to fill at weekends through the summer holidays, so advance booking is worthwhile for July and August stays.
