Pengraig Campsite

Anglesey

A working farm campsite on Anglesey's wild north-west coast, 6 miles from Holyhead

About Pengraig Campsite

Pengraig sits on a working farm at Llanfairynghornwy, on the exposed north-western tip of Anglesey around six and a half miles from Holyhead and a twenty-minute drive from the town. The setting is the main draw: open grass pitches with sea views, big skies and genuinely dark nights once the sun goes down, all within a short walk of the coastal path.

Facilities are kept deliberately simple. There are flushing toilets, basins and fresh drinking water on site, but no showers, which keeps prices low and suits campers happy with a more back-to-basics stay. Raised barbecues are permitted, though open fires are not, and pitches can take up to six guests each across the tent, touring and motorhome areas.

Church Bay, with its beach, pub and restaurant, is around a five-minute drive or a forty-minute coastal walk away, and a supermarket in Cemaes covers bigger shops around fifteen minutes further on. Dogs are welcome, up to two per pitch, and the site is open from late March to the end of October, making it a good, unfussy base for walkers and families exploring this quieter corner of Anglesey.
