Stowford Farm Meadows
Devon
One of Devon's largest touring and camping parks, five miles from Ilfracombe
About Stowford Farm Meadows
Stowford Farm Meadows occupies several hundred acres of farmland at Berry Down, between Ilfracombe and Combe Martin, and has grown over several decades into one of the largest touring and camping parks in the South West. Its scale is part of the appeal, with wide grass touring fields, dedicated areas for tents, and enough space that even a busy summer weekend rarely feels crowded.
Facilities are built around family holidays, with an indoor heated swimming pool, a shop stocking groceries and camping essentials, a children's play area and organised activities during peak season. Pitches for tents, touring caravans and motorhomes are served by electric hook-ups and modern shower and toilet blocks, and the park also offers a small number of glamping pods and static holiday caravans for those without their own equipment. Dogs are welcome across most of the touring areas, with dedicated dog-walking fields on site, a useful feature given the size of the grounds.
The park's countryside setting at Berry Down puts it within easy reach of both Ilfracombe and Combe Martin, each a short drive away, as well as the beaches at Woolacombe and the moorland of Exmoor further east. Its combination of space, facilities and central position on the North Devon coast make it a practical choice for families wanting a longer stay with plenty to keep children occupied between days out.
