This small site sits alongside Lochranza Golf Course in the north of Arran, a short walk from the village, the distillery and the ruined castle at the head of the loch. It is best known for the red deer that wander down from the surrounding hills to graze the fairways most evenings, often coming close enough to watch from a tent door without any need to go looking for them.
Pitches suit tents, touring caravans and motorhomes, with electric hook-up available on a limited number of pitches and a shower and toilet block shared with golf club visitors. The setting is more exposed than the sheltered southern sites, sitting close to Arran's northern hills, so it suits campers prepared for changeable Highland-edge weather in exchange for the scenery and the wildlife on the doorstep.
Lochranza village itself has a shop, a hotel and the distillery's café within easy walking distance, making the site a practical base for anyone building a stay around whisky tours or an early start on the coastal path north towards Catacol. Dogs are welcome, and the site's small scale keeps it a quieter option than the larger touring parks further south on the island.
