Bowmore Hotel
Bowmore town centre · Hotel
A family-run hotel in the heart of Bowmore with hand-crafted furniture and a whisky bar stocking over 1,800 malts.
About Bowmore Hotel
The Bowmore Hotel sits in the middle of the island's main town, a short walk from Bowmore Distillery and the harbour, and has been run by the same family for many years. Its eleven bedrooms are each individually furnished with hand-crafted wooden pieces and fitted with en-suite wet rooms, giving the hotel a warmer, more personal feel than its central location might suggest.
The hotel's whisky bar is a genuine draw in its own right, stocking well over 1,800 different Islay and Jura single malts, many of them distillery exclusives unavailable elsewhere. The restaurant sources produce locally where possible and runs a changing list of daily specials alongside its main menu.
Being in the centre of Bowmore, the hotel is within walking distance of the town's shops, the harbour and Bowmore Distillery itself, and makes a convenient, sociable base for exploring the whole island, with Port Charlotte, Port Ellen and Port Askaig all a short drive away.
