About Skiddaw Hotel
The Skiddaw Hotel takes its name from the mountain that dominates the skyline north of Keswick, though its own position is squarely in the middle of town on Main Street, within a short walk of every shop, pub and viewpoint in the centre. The building has been refurbished in recent years, giving it a smarter, more contemporary finish than some of its Victorian-era neighbours while keeping a traditional Lakeland facade.
Its 43 en-suite bedrooms include several larger family suites, and the hotel's Brasserie 31 restaurant serves a seasonal menu built around local produce, with a separate lounge bar offering a shorter menu including a hiker's picnic board for anyone heading straight out onto the fells.
