The Grange Country House occupies a Victorian villa in its own grounds on Manor Brow, roughly fifteen minutes' walk from the centre of Keswick and twenty minutes from the shore of Derwentwater. The current owners have kept the garden to a standard that has won local Keswick in Bloom awards, and the house itself has picked up recognition in national bed and breakfast guides for the quality of its rooms and breakfasts.

Each of the ten en-suite bedrooms is individually styled, finished with crisp linen and flat-screen televisions, and the house has ample private parking along with an electric vehicle charging point, a rare amenity among smaller Lake District guest houses. Breakfast is a particular strength, having previously been singled out for a national award.

Its slightly out-of-town setting suits guests happy to walk or drive the short distance into Keswick in exchange for a quieter, more spacious stay with proper gardens to sit out in.
