About The White Hart Hotel
The White Hart Hotel has stood on Bailgate, in the historic uphill quarter of Lincoln, since the 14th century, and its guest list over the centuries has included royalty and wartime airmen from the county's Bomber Command squadrons. A comprehensive refurbishment under new ownership has brought the building's 49 bedrooms and public rooms up to a contemporary standard while keeping its historic character intact.
The hotel sits within a few minutes' walk of both Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle, in the same cluster of medieval streets as Steep Hill's independent shops and cafes, making it one of the best-placed hotels in the city for sightseeing on foot. On site, the Antlers Restaurant serves food built around local ingredients, the Colonnade Cocktail Lounge and Gibson Club Bar offer more informal drinking and dining, and the hotel also holds an on-site spa.
Further additions, including an indoor pool, gym and sauna, are planned as part of the ongoing refurbishment programme, and the hotel has been shortlisted for regional tourism awards in recognition of its transformation. Self-catering townhouses are also available for longer stays or larger groups.
