Maes Dolau Caravan Park

Conwy

Rural touring and static park two miles from Llandudno, with shepherd's hut glamping

About Maes Dolau Caravan Park

Maes Dolau is the closest of the area's caravan parks to Llandudno itself, set in rural North Wales around two miles from the promenade and within easy reach of Deganwy, Conwy and Colwyn Bay as well as the Conwy Valley and the edge of Snowdonia. The park runs mainly as a static caravan site, with around 100 static units on long-season licences, but also holds touring pitches with electric hardstanding for caravans and motorhomes, plus a small number of ensuite shepherd's huts with private decking for anyone wanting a step up from a standard pitch.

Facilities include showers, toilets and a laundry, a dedicated dog walking area, Wi-Fi points around the site and fire safety stations, with a warden on site at all times and office hours of 9.30am to 1.30pm daily for queries and check-in. The season runs from the 1st of March, later starting than some of the larger coastal parks, and the site's large green spaces make it a reasonably relaxed base rather than a tightly packed touring stopover.

Dogs are welcome throughout the park, and its proximity to Llandudno, at around two miles, makes it one of the more practical choices for anyone wanting a caravan or shepherd's hut base within a short drive of the promenade, the Great Orme and the town's beaches, without needing to commit to a longer trip out towards Abergele or the Conwy Valley.
