About Bodysgallen Hall and Spa
Bodysgallen Hall stands two miles south of Llandudno in 200 acres of parkland, its oldest sections dating back to the 13th century with the main house largely built up over the 17th. The National Trust owns the estate, which is run day to day as a hotel and spa, giving guests the run of formal walled gardens, a knot garden, and parkland walks with views towards the Great Orme and Snowdonia.
Rooms are split between the main hall and a number of restored cottages scattered around the grounds, furnished with antiques and period detail rather than a uniform boutique look. The spa occupies a separate building within the grounds, with an indoor pool, treatment rooms and a gym, and the restaurant draws on produce grown in the walled kitchen garden for a seasonal, formal dining menu.
The setting is deliberately rural rather than seafront, so guests wanting the promenade and pier will need a short drive into Llandudno itself, but the trade-off is a genuinely quiet, garden-set stay that suits a special occasion or a slower, longer break more than a classic seaside visit.
