Caffyns Farm
Devon
Working farm camping overlooking the Valley of the Rocks
About Caffyns Farm
Caffyns Farm is a family-run working farm set across 160 acres of open and secluded fields just outside Lynton, with pitches looking out over the Valley of the Rocks and the coast beyond. It is one of the longer-established camping farms in the area, offering simple, unfussy pitches for tents and campervans rather than a heavily serviced holiday park experience.
Facilities have been refurbished in recent years and now include ample free hot showers, modern toilets with a disabled toilet and family changing room, a laundry, and a tea room and garden serving light meals to campers. Water standpipes are provided across the fields, and campfires are welcome on many pitches, which is unusual for a site this close to a National Park boundary and popular with campers who want a more traditional experience.
Being a working farm rather than a purpose-built holiday park, Caffyns Farm suits visitors happy to trade some facilities for a genuinely rural, low-key setting and views that few campsites in North Devon can match. Lynton and Lynmouth are both under ten minutes away by car, making it a workable base for exploring the villages despite sitting a little further out than the valley-floor sites.
