Sunny Lyn Holiday Park
Devon
Riverside touring and camping a short walk from both villages
About Sunny Lyn Holiday Park
Sunny Lyn Holiday Park sits in a wooded valley beside the West Lyn River, within walking distance of both Lynton and Lynmouth and generally reckoned the closest campsite to the two centres. The park holds a mix of electric touring pitches, electric and non-electric tent pitches, and a smaller number of static caravans, lodges and apartments for those not camping, all set among trees along the riverbank.
Facilities include a recently refurbished shower and toilet block, a laundry room, free wifi, and a wash-up area, and the park holds exclusive fishing rights on its stretch of the West Lyn, a draw for anglers staying on site. An adjoining pub and restaurant, along with a cafe open during peak periods, cover food without needing to walk into either village, though both are close enough for an evening stroll.
The riverside setting means good shelter from Exmoor's weather and an appealing, shaded pitch for summer camping, though it also means the site can feel closed-in compared with the open moorland campsites further out. For visitors who want to camp without a car and still reach the cliff railway, harbour and coast path on foot within minutes, it is the natural choice.
