About Glandyfi Castle
Glandyfi Castle is a Grade II listed Regency gothic revival castle built in 1810, standing above the Dyfi estuary a few miles from Machynlleth with views towards the mountains of southern Eryri. Following a five-year restoration, it now operates as an exclusive-use venue, let out in its entirety rather than by individual room, and sleeps up to twenty-two guests across its bedrooms.
Interiors mix the building's original gothic detailing - pointed windows, turrets and grand reception rooms - with comfortably furnished, contemporary bedrooms and bathrooms. The castle is used for weddings, celebrations, corporate retreats and simple luxury stays, with guests taking over the whole property, gardens and estuary views for the duration of their booking.
Its scale and setting make Glandyfi Castle best suited to groups and families gathering for a special occasion rather than a conventional couple's break, and it has built a strong reputation on TripAdvisor and among wedding parties for its dramatic, storybook setting on the edge of the Dyfi estuary.
