About Blackland Lakes
Blackland Lakes has operated as a touring and camping park since 1984, set across 15 acres of landscaped grounds a couple of miles south of Calne and around 11 miles west of Marlborough. The site is built around three former gravel-pit lakes, two kept for coarse fishing and one managed as a nature reserve, giving the park a settled, well-grown feel that comes from four decades of planting and maintenance rather than a recent conversion.
Around 110 pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents are spread across six tree-lined paddocks, with a mix of electric hook-up and non-hook-up options and open central areas that work well for larger groups, rallies and caravan club meets. On-site facilities include a shop, a bar and clubhouse, a play area for children and modern toilet and shower blocks, making it a more fully equipped option than the smaller farm sites closer to Marlborough itself.
The park is popular with anglers thanks to its coarse fishing lakes, and with families thanks to the play area and open grass, while its position within reach of the North Wessex Downs AONB suits walkers and cyclists looking to explore the wider countryside around Calne and Marlborough. Dogs on leads are welcome throughout the site, and the park regularly hosts school Duke of Edinburgh groups and vintage vehicle rallies alongside individual touring guests.
