Hill View Park
Wiltshire
A small, quiet touring site between Pewsey and Oare, ten minutes from Marlborough
About Hill View Park
Hill View Park is a small, family-run touring site at Oare, between the villages of Pewsey and Marlborough and about ten minutes' drive from the town centre. It combines a modest number of privately owned static holiday homes with ten touring pitches on open grass, giving the site a settled, well-kept feel without the scale of a large commercial park.
The touring pitches take tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans, each with its own electric hook-up point, and are set out on level grass with car parking alongside each pitch. On-site facilities are kept simple and functional, with toilet and shower blocks and a washing-up area, in keeping with the site's character as a peaceful, low-key stopover rather than a destination park in its own right.
Its position in the Vale of Pewsey puts it within easy reach of the chalk White Horse hill figures at Alton Barnes and Pewsey, the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath, and the walking routes across the Marlborough Downs, while the short drive into Marlborough itself makes it a workable base for exploring the town, Savernake Forest and the wider Avebury area. Dogs are welcome, and the site's small scale makes it a popular choice for couples and small families wanting a quiet countryside stay rather than a full-facility holiday park.
