Melrose Gibson Park Club Campsite

Scottish Borders

Touring site on the edge of Melrose beneath the Eildon Hills

About Melrose Gibson Park Club Campsite

Melrose Gibson Park Club Campsite sits on the fringe of the town, close enough to walk into Melrose for the abbey, shops and restaurants, with the Eildon Hills rising directly behind the pitches. The site is run to Caravan and Motorhome Club standards and takes tents, caravans, motorhomes and small campervans across a mix of grass, hardstanding and fully serviced pitches, with optional electric hook-up available on request.

The surrounding parkland is quiet and well maintained, and the site's position makes it one of the few genuine options for camping within walking distance of Melrose town centre rather than requiring a drive back and forth each day. Facilities are kept to a good standard, with modern shower and toilet blocks and space for dogs on leads, and the short walk into town means an evening meal or a look around the abbey ruins is easily managed without moving the car.

The site works well both as a base for walking the Eildon Hills, whose signposted path starts close by, and as a stopping point on longer tours of the Scottish Borders, given its proximity to the A68 and A7. Its popularity during the summer months and around the Melrose Sevens rugby weekend in April means early booking is recommended at those times.
