Woodland touring pitches near Slindon, around ten miles from Midhurst
About Old Farm Camp and Touring Site
Old Farm Camp and Touring Site is a quiet, twenty-pitch site set in woodland near Slindon, roughly ten miles south-east of Midhurst on the way towards Arundel. Unlike the more basic tents-only sites closer to Midhurst, it is set up as a proper touring base, taking caravans and motorhomes as well as tents, with electric hookup and a water tap at every pitch.
Facilities include hot showers and toilets with hairdryers, a large communal washing-up area with a shared sink, a communal freezer for ice blocks, and WiFi across the site. The setting is wooded and sheltered, with bridleway walks leading straight from the site, and the village of Slindon, with its own shop, is within easy walking distance for supplies.
The site is run seasonally from the end of March to the end of October and sits roughly midway between Arundel Castle and Chichester Cathedral, making it a reasonable touring base for the wider area as well as day trips back into Midhurst and the South Downs. Its combination of full hookups and a genuinely peaceful woodland setting makes it the pick of the three for anyone travelling with a caravan or motorhome rather than a tent.
