Dafarn Rhos sits at Lligwy, on the coast a short distance north of Moelfre, in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty right beside one of Anglesey's best sandy beaches. The site spreads across roughly thirty-four acres of grass and hardstanding pitches, with sea views available from a number of them, and the Anglesey Coastal Path passes close by for anyone wanting a longer walk straight from their pitch.
Pitches cover tents, touring caravans, campervans and motorhomes, split between non-electric grass pitches, standard electric grass pitches, hardstanding electric pitches and a smaller number of fully serviced pitches with water and waste facilities included. Facilities on site include free hot showers, toilets with hairdryers, a laundry room, WiFi, a dog wash station and electric vehicle charging points, along with a small shop at reception for essentials. A cafe and restaurant operate within a minute's walk of the site entrance.
Dogs are welcome year-round, which matters here given that Lligwy Beach itself allows dogs throughout the year rather than only in the off-season. The site runs from the start of April through to the end of September, and its combination of beach access, coastal path walking and straightforward touring facilities makes it one of the most popular bases on this stretch of the Anglesey coast, so early booking for summer is recommended.
Moelfre itself is an easy walk or short drive south along the coast path, making Dafarn Rhos a practical choice for anyone wanting to explore the village's harbour, Seawatch Centre and pubs without needing the car each day. The nearby historic sites at Din Lligwy and Lligwy Burial Chamber are also within easy reach on foot, adding a change of pace from the beach for a half-day out.
