Morawelon Caravan and Camping Park sits right on the Parrog waterfront in Newport, next to the café of the same name and the old lime kilns, making it one of the very few campsites in Pembrokeshire within a level, level walk of both a town centre and an estuary shoreline. Pitches are set on open grass looking out towards the Nevern Estuary and Newport Sands across the water.
The site keeps its facilities straightforward, with an amenity block providing showers and toilets, and electric hook-ups available on a number of pitches for touring caravans and motorhomes as well as tents. Its position right on Parrog means campers can walk to the beach, join the Coast Path in either direction, or head into Newport itself for shops, pubs and restaurants without needing a car for the day.
Being tucked into the village rather than set apart in open countryside, Morawelon suits campers who want to be within walking distance of everything Newport offers, from an evening meal in town to an early swim at Newport Sands, while still falling asleep to the sound of the tide on the estuary.
