Little Lakeland sits just outside Hoveton, the twin village to Wroxham at the unofficial gateway to the Norfolk Broads, around eight miles northeast of Norwich. It is a small, deliberately quiet touring park built around a coarse fishing lake, and has traditionally positioned itself towards couples and adult visitors looking for a peaceful base rather than a site full of organised activities.
Pitches are generously sized and well spaced around the grounds, with hardstanding available for tourers and motorhomes as well as grass pitches, all with electric hook-up. The park's fishing lake is a particular draw for anglers, alongside modern, well-maintained shower and toilet facilities and a small shop for essentials, though the emphasis throughout is on a calm, low-key stay rather than entertainment.
Wroxham and Hoveton themselves offer boat hire, riverside pubs and shops for a Broads day out, and the Bure Valley railway and wider Broads network are within easy reach. Norwich is a short drive south, making the park a practical base for combining a city visit with time on the water.
The park does not take tents, focusing instead on touring caravans and motorhomes, which keeps the site quieter still and suits regular visitors who return with the same outfit year after year. There is no swimming pool or on-site bar, in keeping with the park's low-key character, but the surrounding villages more than make up for it with pubs, tea rooms and boatyards within a short drive or a longer walk along quiet lanes.
